Between baseball season, Easter, 4/20, and Denver Bike Fest, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy Denver this April. To help you fill out your calendar, we rounded up a few of the events and places we’re most excited about.
🚢 Never Before Seen Titanic Artifacts on Display at Molly Brown House
The Molly Brown House will host a new exhibit starting April 8 called “See Justice Done: The Legacy of the Titanic Survivors’ Committee.” It follows how Denver’s “unsinkable” legend Margaret Brown helped fellow surviving passengers and crew members, and features never-before-seen artifacts from the ocean liner’s tragic demise.
👾 Time Travel to the 90s with History Colorado
Remember when the Rockies played their first-ever game at Coors Field in 1995? Did you wear out your VHS copy of “Titanic” on the family VCR? Relive – or get to know – what the 1990s were like in Denver and beyond at this interactive exhibit celebrating and examining the pop culture and politics of “the last decade before the future.”
🍕 Celebrate Benzina Coming Back From the Brink of Closure
Spring is a time of rebirth and, apparently, that includes the revival of Denver pizzeria Benzina, which originally planned to close this month, but was saved by a rush of support. The Italian eatery on Colfax will now stay open until at least May 3 and, hopefully, even longer if diners keep the kitchen busy. Our menu faves include the arancini and the mushroom pizza.
🦗 Chill On the Patio at The Cherry Cricket in Littleton
It’s patio season! Grab a table at the Cherry Cricket’s latest outpost in Littleton and enjoy a burger and a brew under the shade. This Colorado classic manages to capture its original Cherry Creek magic in each new spot with the same great food and homey interior – but this south suburban location’s massive patio with plenty of seating means no waiting for a table!
🫒 Sip on a Strawberry Olive Marg at Fellow Traveler
Fellow Traveler serves up fresh vegan bites and unconventional cocktails with surprising flavor combinations, including the Slow Graffiti, a strawberry and olive margarita, that we think could be the drink of the spring. Looking for a tasty non-alcoholic option? Check out the Billows and Thieves, a mix of grapefruit, lemon, cold-brew, and cardamom-cinnamon syrup!
🎤 Get the Giggles at Dude IDK Studios’ Comedy Night
Dude IDK Studios (where the City Cast Denver podcast records for our YouTube channel) just moved to a new location and is celebrating with a flagship comedy night on April 18. The show will include an hour-long stand-up showcase and food from Chef Pat.
Psst! There’s even more where these came from! Tune into the City Cast Denver podcast for more recommendations! 👇
