Thanks to the expanded hours of a Denver classic and a new pop-up concept that stays open late, Denver’s after-hours dining options are heating up. But don’t forget the tried-and-true spots that night owls have always been able to rely on! Here’s a list of great restaurants across the Mile High City to visit when those after-midnight cravings hit.
Pete’s Kitchen: Open 24/7, Friday-Saturday
This diner staple is centrally located at Colfax Ave. and Race St., right in the heart of the city. Try Pete’s breakfast burritos, a classic combo of rellenos and eggs, or the gyros, a key menu item of true Denver diner fare.
Great Scotts Eatery: Open 24/7 Thursday-Saturday
This 1950s themed-diner near the Northside is a great spot when you’re craving sandwiches or burgers, and breakfast staples like pancakes, huevos rancheros, or a skillet. They can also accommodate large parties, making this the perfect spot to meet up with a big group of friends after the bar closes.
Rosenberg’s Bagels & Deli: Pop-up open til 2 a.m.
Flipping the script on their traditional bagel-centric menu, after 5 p.m. Rosenberg’s in Five Points becomes RosenBurgers, a late-night pop-up serving sliders piled high with all the fixin’s, including a special in-house sauce. Note: this limited-time late-night spot runs from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays until Labor Day.
Gaia Masala Burger: Open til 3 a.m.
This Indian fusion restaurant’s menu reimagines greasy spoon favorites with amazing creations like their tikka masala chicken cheesesteak, sichuan pepper french fries, and beef and lamb gyro calzones. And yes, this flavorful spot is open late every night.
Jerusalem: Open til 3 a.m., Thursday-Sunday
Serving college kids for decades, this Mediterranean restaurant in DU is also a late-night dream for barhoppers. Try the combination super dish piled high with kabobs, kifta, beef, lamb gyros, and more. Don’t forget a small but mighty cup of their Arabic coffee to finish off a great night out!
City Cast Denver Listener Favorites
“I am from ATL originally and I miss the hell out of Waffle House. In the South they are everywhere. There are a few in the Denver area (Thornton, Aurora and Littleton) and they are open 24/7. [...] I occasionally drive to Thornton on a weekend morning with a hangover to get my WaHo fix. A Waffle House on Colfax would KILL IT!!” – Patrick B.
“Wanted to let you know there is another 24-hour Denny’s (not a go-to for me) on 72nd and Sheridan. But totally agree we need more late night places around the city😀😀😀” – Amanda
And one listener asks: “I live on the Northside of town. We have a Tamale Kitchen in my neighborhood. Are other Tamale Kitchen spots serving 24 hours (weekends) too?”
