The Globeville neighborhood is split into four sections by the state's two largest highways (I-25 and I-70), which creates particular hardships for its residents and businesses. When Globeville is in the news, it’s not always for positive reasons, but I love this neighborhood and want to shine a light on what I think makes it so great:

🍸 Fort Greene is everything you want in a neighborhood bar. It’s cozy, offers delicious drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic), is full of community, and hosts great events. The space is so beautifully decorated that you can actually book it for photoshoots!

  • Be sure to order: Garden Views (a N/A Drink)

🥐 Emmanuel’s Bakery has to be on this list because I can’t be in Globeville and not get pan dulce. They also offer hot food if you’re in need of a lunch option.

  • Be sure to order: Conchas, of course!

🍳 Butcher Block Cafe is a Denver staple in a time where good diners are becoming harder to find. It’s where I go when I want a no-frills spot with filling menu options.

  • Be sure to order: the Roundhouse Breakfast

Prodigy Coffeehouse strikes that rare balance of a welcoming coffeehouse with great coffee that’s also rooted in the communities they serve. Check out Denverite’s profile on Prodigy and its commitment to Globeville.

  • Be sure to order: the Handheld Waffle

🌳 Argo Park, because I believe in outdoor spaces. I like shooting hoops on the basketball court and bringing a book to read in the summer breeze.
