Thanksgiving is next week, which means we are on the threshold of full holiday shopping madness. In fact, a recent retail survey claims that the average Denverite is prepared to spend $1,782 this holiday season. But between Black Friday frenzies and Cyber Monday superdeals, let’s not forget about Small Business Saturday! Here are a few ways you can keep the love local 🫶

Nov. 30

La Victoria is a community kitchen offering culinary lessons and events meant to bridge cultures and celebrate togetherness. You can support the space on Small Business Saturday at its indoor Winter Market featuring services and goodies from local makers and sellers.

Nov. 29-Dec. 1 (and beyond)

Cherry Creek North’s Small Business Holiday Market runs all weekend long, highlighting dozens of local artists, designers, and crafters — several of whom are offering special SBS discounts and deals.

Nov. 30

Stop by Aurora’s bustling Stanley Marketplace to peruse its many year-round local vendors, plus special holiday entertainment, including visits with Santa Claus, a capella performances, and a silent disco.

Nov. 30-Dec. 1 (and beyond)

One of Denver’s most popular pop-up shopping experiences will host more than 75 independent business owners at its SBS Holiday Bazaar at Belleview Station in the DTC, complete with live music, a beer garden, food trucks, and more. (Psst! Don’t miss the Bazaar’s other pop-ups throughout December!)

Nov. 30-Dec. 1 (and beyond)

Dairy Block’s Mistletoe Market kicks off on Small Business Saturday, then runs every weekend through Christmas. On top of a rotating lineup of local vendors, enjoy live carolers, holiday photo ops, and special treats.

Denver’s Horseshoe Holiday Market at the Highlands Masonic Temple is the perfect place to nab “eclectic art, exceptional crafting, and varied vintage thrifts.” Can’t make it next weekend? They’ll return one more time Dec. 7-8 at Littleton’s Breckenridge Brewery.

Nov. 30

The long-running beloved Denver bookstore The Bookies is hosting local authors for meet-and-greets and book-signings for its Colorado Book bLITz in honor of Small Business Saturday.
