Even though the weekend’s persistent showers brought us some promising springtime moisture, the usual hot, dry Mile High summer is just around the corner, and it’s important to note that Denver’s seasonal water use rules go into effect tomorrow. Here’s what you need to know:
- Denver watering restrictions run May 1 through Oct. 1
- Lawn watering is NOT allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Limit your lawn watering to absolutely no more than 3 days per week
- Do not let your water spray on concrete or asphalt
- You must repair sprinkler leaks within 10 days
- Report water waste online or by calling Denver Water at 303-893-2444
- You can request an exemption from Denver’s watering rules if you have newly planted seed or sod
