Ever since President Biden’s dismal debate performance a few weeks ago, an increasing number of Democrats in Congress have called on him to step aside as the party’s nominee, including Colorado Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen, and even more have expressed doubts about his chances in November, including Colorado’s Sen. Michael Bennet. Then a shooter attempted to assassinate former president Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania this past weekend, and the entire dynamic of the race changed — or did it? Diana DeGette has represented Denver in Congress since 1997, and she’s on today to talk about where she thinks the Democrats should go from here.
