🍜 Ramen Star
Chef and owner Takashi Tamai makes his in-house ramen noodles fresh everyday. Sip, slurp, and spoon up rich tonkotsu, spicy miso, and veggie broth options decorated with everything from soft boiled eggs and bean sprouts to kimchi or a crispy potato pierogi.
☕ Huckleberry Roasters
A Sunnyside staple for more than a decade, this local roaster strikes the perfect balance wanted in a coffee shop — perfectly executed espresso drinks served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Grab a drip coffee or a bag of freshly roasted beans that Huckleberry sources from producers across the globe.

✊🏽La Raza Park
An epicenter of the Chicano civil rights movement, La Raza’s El Kiosko structure provides an open stage for community gatherings, celebrations (it even has its own holiday!), and cultural pride. But this park is more than a symbol — it’s a vibrant community hub, hosting picnics, car club meet-ups, and shaded greenspace for Denverites to enjoy.
🦹 Mile High Comics Mega-Store
A comic book lover’s fever dream come to life, this warehouse is neatly organized wall-to-wall with rare finds and new releases. Claiming to be home to more than 10 million comics, cruise the massive shop’s in-store collection and check back often as new shipments come in weekly.
🌮 Kike’s Red Tacos
Starting in 2020 as a food truck, Kiké’s birria tacos put this family-owned business on the map. They opened a brick-and-mortar location last year with a menu going beyond its Jalisco-influenced beef and consommé in tacos — Kiké’s also serves up birria quesa-tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, and even ramen.
