A Northside staple, Tennyson Street has been a bustling hub for local businesses in the Berkeley neighborhood (and beyond!) for decades. Our friends at Denverite just devoted a whole week of coverage to this community favorite, and it inspired us to share our fave Tennyson Street stops, too.
☕Tenn Street Coffee & Books
This cozy coffee and book shop is designed for folks to stay a while. It’s full of little nooks and comfy armchairs perfect for lounging with a latte. Music nerds will love Tenn Street’s vinyl collection for sale, too.
🍻Call to Arms Brewing
This local brewery goes all out this time of year, transforming its taproom into the “Big Holiday Energy” pop-up bar — a full-on Christmas shrine complete with felt snow and twinkling lights.

Tennyson Street runs from Berkeley through Regis, all the way down past Sloan’s Lake Park. (Google Maps)
🥞 Javier’s Diner
From breakfast burritos and pancakes to ceviche and chile rellenos, this spot serves up true diner-style fare. It also makes an excellent Colorado-style green chile (which was recently ranked one of the best in town on the City Cast Denver podcast — listen now).
🎸 Berkeley Inn
A classic neighborhood watering hole, the Berkeley Inn offers a killer happy hour, nice bartenders, and really great bar bands. Grab a stool or shoot some pool inside this no frills joint that has been in operation since 1934.
🎿Feral
Buy and sell pre-loved outdoor gear at this shop tailored for the Colorado lifestyle. Feral started out in a tiny bungalow down the street before moving operations into a former movie theater on Tennyson, expanding their vast offerings of skis, backpacks, snowshoes, and yoga mats.
