This week, we’re wandering around the Central Business District (known to most Denverites simply as “downtown”) to highlight the latest in fun and unique stuff happening in the city’s center.
🐂 78th Annual Steer at the Brown Palace
The National Western Stock Show wouldn’t be complete without a bull in a china shop sighting — or make that a steer at a high tea! Head over to the Brown Palace tomorrow and snag a free selfie with the show’s grand champion cow.
🍷 Done Deal Wine Bar
Culinary magnate Troy Guard’s latest creation takes over the first floor of Republic Plaza, turning the cavernous office atrium into a wine and craft cocktail bar. The Denver Post describes it as an inviting and intimate setting of cozy booths, long couches, and pink velvet chairs surrounded by greenery.

🍽️ (The New) Apple Blossom
This fan-favorite spot closed in December after only two years on the 16th Street Mall, but has been revived with new ownership, a new direction, and a new chef, Adrian Faison, who will bring his Southern technique and fresh ingredients to the table.
🛍️ Abstract Denver 16th Street
The local screen printer-turned-retail chain recently made controversial news for its popular “Blucifer” merch. Here, you can get some of the coolest Denver-centric merchandise in the city that will beat any tourist trap’s trinkets.
