Sitting on the border of Englewood, Rosedale is a quaint, little south Denver neighborhood that is often overlooked. But this section of the metro has plenty to do, see, eat, and imbibe — you just have to know where to go! To get you started, here are a few of our favorite spots in this ‘hood:

🎻 Swallow Hill Music

This part-music school, part-concert venue has been a community staple in Denver since 1979. Swallow Hill offers voice lessons, group music classes, and more for all ages at any level of musicianship. The former church space also hosts jazz jams, solo shows, and intimate performances featuring local — and global — acts.

🐔 Post Chicken and Beer

Come for the juicy, crispy, perfectly seasoned bird, stay for the brews — Post originals like the Howdy pilsner, Top Rope Mexican lager, and Townie Ale are always on tap. The Post serves comfort food in a comfy place, with spacious wooden tables, a killer patio, and great service.

⛳ Harvard Gulch Park

One of Denver’s many tiny but mighty local greenspaces, Harvard Gulch packs a lot into limited space. Along with a playground, rec center, and basketball court, this little park also hosts a tucked-away nine-hole, par-3 course perfect for beginner golfers and weekend warriors.

🍨 Right Cream

A pandemic-project-turned-thriving sweets business, the Right brand made its mark in Denver’s crowded field of creameries with combinations like Cheez-It, toffee, and salted caramel and strawberry, lemon curd, and pistachio. This summer, Right Cream also started serving up smash burgers and fries with hopes to expand its food menu in the near future.

🍸 Gennaro’s Cafe Italiano

Sure Gennaro’s is a great place for classic, no-frills Italian dishes, but regulars know it as a quintessential neighborhood watering hole. The bar’s “Happy Seven” happy hour runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, offering 2-for-1 house wines, well liquors, and draft beers.
