Headed out on a flight, but want one last taste of the Mile High before you go? Here are a few Denver-based eateries to check out the next time you’re traveling through DIA (or DEN, if you prefer) ✈️

Concourse A

The latest concept from the Olive and Finch Collective is Finch on the Fly, a 24/7 market selling sandwiches, salads, pastries, and cold-pressed juices. Want something hot and ready? Try the frybread and bison tacos at Native American restaurant Tocabe, which opened inside the airport on April 7.

Keep an eye out for two Denver originals opening locations at DIA next month — Maria Empanada, known for a variety of sweet and savory Argentinian empanadas, and the popular ramen shop Uncle.

Concourse B

The last remaining location of Salt and Grinder, a New Jersey style deli, is in the central area of Concourse B, so take advantage of the fluffy bread and cured meats while you’re there. Denver restauranteur and chef Frank Bonanno brings another of one his concepts to DIA with Osteria Marco, which opens its outpost in June.

In the meantime, check out Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs, which first opened in Denver in 2006, for gourmet hot dogs and a selection of local craft beers. Or, for maybe the most Colorado experience, enjoy the fine dining at Elway’s with steak, fish, and a lengthy wine list.

Concourse C

One of the newest local offerings at DIA is ChoLon Modern Asian, which is serving a dim sum and wok-fried menu. Another new option is the grab-and-go and quick serve sandwiches from Marczyk Fine Foods, a Denver staple since 2002.

For tacos and margaritas, I recommend Mr. Oso by Señor Bear, which also has locations in RiNo and Wash Park. Highland favorite Bar Dough’s airport location offers pizza, elevated pastas, and Italian-inspired cocktails and wine.
